To be sociologically mindful, or a sociologist for that matter, don't you have to be open minded?
Wouldn't it be rather pointless to read someone else's theories knowing that you're going to not really think it through? It wouldn't even count to study another's theory, because you rejected it from the begining, and if you do that, we could lose what could or might've been a great discovery, an answer to your or someone else's questions. Now that would be a bummer.

We say our goal at Stevenson is to create lifelong learners....students who become inquisitive and open minded toward learning for the rest of their lives. How good of a job do you think we do???????
ReplyDeleteI think you do a pretty good job, I'm inquistive to begin with, but I have become more inquistive every time I walk in and out of your classroom.
ReplyDeleteI would say yes, but I don't know the other students you had, or the way the think and see things, so I cant really say that much.
